Here's are the latest car burglaries:
On Friday, Dec. 14 at 11:40 p.m. on Midbrook Lane, the owners reported their Mitsubishi Outback that had been parked on the street at the residence at about 7:30 p.m. The vehicle had been left unlocked missing was a backpack valued at $50 and a U.S. passport.
On Saturday, Dec. 15, around 1:30 a.m., officers were called to the area of Revere Road on a report for a group of individuals checking vehicle door handles, Darien Police said.
The caller told officers they observed two of the individuals enter a vehicle parked at 9 Revere Road. After entering the vehicle, the suspects got into a white SUV and fled the area. The registration showed the vehicle had been stolen in New Haven. A check of the area found that three vehicles, including a Porsche, a BMW and a Subaru, had been unlocked and entered, but nothing was stolen.
Later in the morning on Saturday, Dec. 15, Darien police also responded to a report that unlocked 2012 Chevy Silverado on Fairfield Avenue had been entered and that $45 in cash was missing.
About a half-hour later police received another report of three unlocked vehicles, a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, and a 2012 Lincoln Navigator on Chestnut Street had been entered overnight. $10 in cash was reported missing from the Jeep.
Following that call, Darien Police responded to a Fairfield Avenue address for a complaint of an unlocked Mazda 2018 CX9 vehicle parked in the driveway had been entered. The contents of the glove box scattered, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Police officials said they had been notified by the Clinton Police Department on Saturday, Dec. 15, they had arrested four juveniles in the stolen vehicle mentioned above while burglarizing vehicles.
